Well, we did go to the French restaurant for lunch and surprisingly, I chose something else entirely. The item I had was not on the online menu, it was a lovely bit of sliced steak (I’m apt to say it was rare London Broil) over mixed greens with roquefort cheese and a few still-crisp steamed green beans (haricot vert). It was wonderful!
I’m going to pick up some fresh scallops from the local fish market on the way home for our Valentine’s dinner. Yum! I’m preparing a recipe of Emeril Lagasse’s which is meant to be an appetizer but we’ll have it with broccoli raab tonight. It is Baked Scallops with Hot Mayonnaise – home-made, mayo that is! You know, egg, mustard, olive oil, blender deal?
